The Pelham Hotel was once part of the Firmdale Hotels group, and as such, it features interiors designed by Kit Kemp, whose use of bold colours and quintessentially English style has earned her a reputation for providing delightful and luxurious accommodation. Now operated by the owners of the nearby Gore Hotel, the Pelham has retained the charming and enchanting style that stemmed from its previous owners.

Across the road from the Pelham is South Kensington tube station with its underground pedestrian access to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and V&A. Additionally, the hotel is surrounded by a diverse range of designer shops, boutique cafés, bars and restaurants.

Accommodation

Kit Kemp’s unique styling continues in all of the Pelham’s 51 rooms with each one individually designed. Antique furniture sits alongside more contemporary pieces and fabrics feature bold patterns and colours. The accommodation is well appointed with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. Each room includes a flat screen television, a DVD player, a desk with a telephone and modem point, a mini-bar and an umbrella for the usual rainy British weather.

The smallest Queen Single room features a queen sized bed and is 20 square metres. Queen and King size double rooms are available and the largest room is the King Suite, which includes its own separate drawing room. All rooms have en-suite granite bathroom facilities with complimentary Penhaligon toiletries.

Restaurants and Bars

Bistro 15 is the Pelham’s contemporary and informal restaurant that is open daily serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and evening meals, including pre and post theatre dinners. The main bistro menu has an excellent selection of modern Italian style cuisine, whilst its Afternoon Tea menus include a unique “Jolly Ladies and Gents” option that features mini cheeseburgers and cider fruitcake, as well as a more traditional vintage option.

Bar 15 has an excellent bar menu that includes a tempting array of tapas, in addition to an extensive range of wines, beers, spirits, Bellinis, teas and coffees.

Additional Facilities and Services

The Pelham has a small fitness room that is open to guests exclusively 24-hours a day with cardiovascular machines and free weights. Personal training sessions can be arranged on request.

The hotel’s Library is open to residents and features comfortable seating, an open fireplace and newspapers are provided daily.
